Bucket List

Today we went over our bucket list... so far this year Dale and I have:

Bought a pet we liked
Saved a man's life
Encountered the mafia
Biked 225 KM
Discovered abandoned theme parks
Gotten rides from a stranger
Gotten extremely lost
Celebrated Ghost Month
Visited a Hot Spring
Saw the president of Taiwan
Been escorted by security. Twice.

and like a billion other things. Mostly unintentionally. As such we are being more intentional about finishing our list. This weekend hopefully there will be some fun adventures and awesome moments, including swimming in a public fountain. Cabin Fever has just gotten to be too much.

Adventure Returns

It appears out most current adventure entails attempting to hide when people walk into the office. We are not the most sneaky of spectors. Yet I suppose that would be the finest adventure we've had yet this week. Dale and I have also learned to ride our bikes while using our feet to walk. It looks incredible and is the envy of all the girls in the schoolyard.

Numero Uno dos 2

Sorry it has taken me so long to post here. Jake explained the whole operation pretty well. We will be going to Taiwan together to teach english for the next 2 years with Word of Life. We both need to raise $1,200 a month and $3,500 before January for airfare. It has been a crazy process getting us to this point and being fully committed to the trip. I didn't know Jake very well before, but I  tried to interact with him because of our voyage to the other side of the world. I am just glad to be with another crazy person, then someone normal. We both had a previous passion for Japan, but the Lord has led us to the Taiwanese people, who have somewhat similar cultures to Japan. Post Numero Uno One

Hi I'm Jake! And presumably Dale exists but unfortunatley cannot claim his existance currently since I'm posting.

We are two missionaries about to go to Taiwan for an entire year.

We are also crazy...

Not like uncle bob at the family reunion talking about reptilians crazy, nor even Chad the cool kid who always gets hit by cars crazy.

Rather we are willing to give up two years of our comfy suburban American life, to travel to another country and experience life while investing into other people's lives. That is the kind of crazy.

That and we occasionally dress up as pirates and junk...

Anyways! This all to say that this a new blog we're starting, we each have our own respective blogs...

Both Dale and I are headed as teammates to the same mission field, thus it would be good to collaborate. Since obviously our lives will be pretty connected for the next two years a blog seemed like a good idea, cause like you can find out what's happening in both our lives... Anyways with that Hopefully we'll get some good posts up soon, and have some sweet stories to tell... Some good adventures... And some hearty Christian encouragment...
